Velke Hincovo pleso - the largest and deepest mountain lake in Slovakia

Velke Hincovo pleso (1,946 m EASL) is a glacier lake covering an area of 20.08 ha and a depth of 53.7 m. Its volume is 1,796,000 m3, length 740 m, and width of 370 m. It is covered by ice 270 days a year on average.

Popradske pleso - mountain lake in Mengusovska valley

Popradske pleso is the 4th largest lake in the High Tatras, within one hour walk from Strbske Pleso tourist resort. Next to the lake is Majlathova hut - the starting point for hikes to the majestic rocky peaks.

Great Cold Valley - the highest number of lakes in the Tatra Mountains

Great Cold Valley can be walked through by a blue-marked tourist trail starting from Tatranska Lomnica resort through Prielom saddle (2,288 m EASL) to Lysa Polana resort.

Tery's hut - the highest located mountain chalet in the High Tatras

The hut lies 2,015 m EASL, a little above five Spis Mountain Lakes at the end of Small Cold Valley. Tery's hut, open all year round, keeps symbolic watch over this valley.

Rysy - a mountain top lying on the very border between Poland and Slovakia

Rysy mountain has three peaks: middle (2,503 m EASL), north-western (2,499 m EASL), and south-eastern (2,473 m EASL). The north-western peak is the highest point of Poland; the other two tops are on the Slovak side of the High Tatras.
