Itinerary

Nice and relaxing tour for those who want to learn how to ride a horse or want to improve their horse riding skills. Besides horse riding, the tour includes short trips to local places of natural beauty and historical interest. The tour is ideal as a summer holiday for families, groups of friends or couples.
We shall visit lovely untouched natural areas and historical monuments of :
- High Tatra Mountains
- Slovak Paradise
- Cerveny Klastor Monastery
- Levoca town and Spis castle (UNESCO protected locations).
The detailed description given below is merely the standard package and alterations can be made to allow more horse riding/sightseeing time.

  1. Day 1 Arrival Poprad, Slovakia. Transfer to Slovak Paradise National Park.

  2. Day 2 Horseback riding, hike from Stary Smokovec to Zbojnicka hut.

    - Breakfast
    - Horse riding for 2 hours
    - Car transfer to the High Tatras
    - Hiking route: Stary Smokovec - Zbojnicka hut
    - Return to Slovak Paradise
    - Free time

    Stary Smokovec - Zbojnicka hut (7 - 8 hrs)
    We will hike from Mala Studena dolina (Small Cold Valley) to Zbojnicka hut (Robber’s hut; altitude 1960 m) built in the Velka Studena Dolina (Great Cold Valley) and surrounded by rocky peaks. The hut provides its services during all seasons.

  3. Day 3 Horseback riding, UNESCO sites visit: Levoca town and Spis castle.

    - Return to Slovak Paradise

    Historic town of Levoca, situated in the east of the Spis region, is a true cultural and historic jewel among the Slovak towns as it compounds a great number of architectural monuments linked with the glorious past of the town. The dominant part of Levoca is large rectangular square with the Roman-Catholic St James church from the 14th century, one of the most important sacral buildings in Slovakia. Late Gothic wooden main altar of St James with the height of 18.6 m is the tallest of its kind in the world. It was made of lime wood in 1507 - 1517 in the workshop of Master Paul of Levoca.

    Spis Castle is the largest medieval castle in Central Europe located on a travertine rock hill. The castle hill was populated as early as 5th century BC; it is one the greatest archaeological and historical gems of Central Europe and is under UNESCO protection.

  4. Day 4 Horseback riding, hike to Batizovske and Velicke lakes.

    - Horse riding for 2 hours
    - Car transfer to Vysne Hagy village, High Tatras
    - Hiking route: Vysne Hagy - Batizovske pleso - Velicke pleso - Tatranska Polianka
    - Return to Slovak Paradise
    - Free time

    Batizovska Valley - Velicka Valley (5 hrs)
    We will take a hike from Batizovska Valley to Velicka Valley where we will get to see two beautiful glacial lakes and have views of surrounding peaks. We will finish the day hike in the mountain hotel Sliezsky dom (Silesian House).

  5. Day 5 Horseback riding, hike from Podlesok to Klastorisko.

    - Horse riding for 2 hours
    - Hiking route: Podlesok - Klastorisko
    - Free time

    Podlesok - Klastorisko, Slovak Paradise (4 hrs)
    Slovak Paradise and it's ravines are a hidden kingdom of magnificent canyons, streams, waterfalls, towers. Those places are accessible by using of wooden and iron ladders, chains, steps and footbridges.

    Walk's details:

    Horseback riding, hike from Podlesok to Klastorisko.

  6. Day 6 Horseback riding, visit Cerveny Klastor monastery museum and raft down the Dunajec river on wooden rafts.

    - Horse riding for 2 hours
    - Car transfer to Pieniny National Park
    - Rafting down the river Dunajec
    - Cerveny Klastor monastery
    - Return to Slovak Paradise
    - Free time

    Pieniny National Park is famous for its natural beauty, especially the Dunajec River gorge - popular rafting and hiking location. It lies in Pieniny mountains on north-eastern border with Poland.

    Cerveny Klastor monastery presents a unique cultural and historical relic set located in the wonderful natural environment of Pieniny under the majestic mountain Tri koruny. Nowadays serves as a museum.

  7. Day 7 Farewell.
